Summary

                               As a data enthusiast with a strong foundation in SQL, I excel at crafting optimized queries and building robust database solutions. In this page, I aim to provide an overview of my expertise and experience in various relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and BigQuery. I specialize in designing scalable database schemas, performing complex data transformations, and automating ETL processes to deliver actionable insights.

Education

I was first introduced to SQL during my Bachelor’s program, specifically in the 4th semester. This early exposure highlighted the importance of SQL in the real world, laying a solid foundation for my data journey. Continuing my studies, I pursued a Master of Information Technology specializing in Data Analytics at Griffith University. Here, I engaged in subjects such as Database Management, Big Data, and other SQL-related courses. Through these courses, I gained comprehensive knowledge of essential SQL concepts, including:

  • Database normalization

  • Star and snowflake schema design

  • Advanced querying techniques (joins, subqueries, and CTEs)

  • Performance tuning and indexing

  • Data integrity and transactions

Internships

My internships provided invaluable opportunities to implement SQL queries and manage real-world data. For instance, during my internship at Cinefly, I utilized Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery to store and analyze data. This role allowed me to apply key SQL concepts, including normalization, star schema design, and data transformation techniques. I learned to effectively handle large datasets, ensuring data integrity and optimizing performance.

Personal Projects

My passion for SQL extends beyond formal education and internships; I regularly engage in personal projects that allow me to refine my skills. I've consistently sought out SQL challenges on platforms like HackerRank and explored real-world problems through various YouTube channels. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of SQL but also fueled my enthusiasm for solving complex queries. You can check out some of the SQL problems I have uploaded on my GitHub.

Courses

Since my bachelor’s degree, I have been dedicated to learning and mastering SQL. While my academic background provided a solid grounding in the basics, I pursued additional courses to earn certifications that enhance my practical skills. These courses covered crucial aspects of SQL, including user permissions, security (SQL injection prevention), and advanced SQL concepts, ensuring I understand how SQL functions in the real world.
